Remote Biologic Prior Authorization Specialist Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant with specific experience in prior authorizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asthma/allergy medications, specifically biologics. This position offers the opportunity to work remote and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Responsibilities of Biologic Prior Authorization Specialist

Review and process prior authorization requests for biologic medications
Verify insurance coverage and ensure all necessary documentation is complete
Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and specialty pharmacies regarding authorization status
Maintain accurate records of authorizations and follow-up as needed
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Assist in resolving any authorization-related issues or denials
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of medical terminology, high proficiency of general medical office procedures including HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications of Biologic Prior Authorization Specialist
